The food and drink were lovely and the atmosphere is very calming. Amazing place to eat! Sam provided perfect service, always making sure my table was okay and had everything we needed (she’s also a great conversationalist so we had many laughs). Overall I had an amazing time!! Highly recommend
This cafe has hands down the best pistachio coffee I’ve tried - very different to all the other cafes who just add pistachio syrup to coffees. The place is pretty small, so don’t expect much privacy. you’ll most probably hear other people’s convos and they’ll hear yours. Probably not the best place if you’re planning to spill secrets over coffee. But for a casual catch-up and quality food/drink, it’s a gem.
The team at Kunafa catered for a c. 35 people family party for us and it was superb. They fetched the food, set up the table with warming trays of various dishes, salads, rice and sauces and presented it all wonderfully and then tidied everything away after. I would recommend them for such an event and look forward to making an opportunity to visit the restaurant.
I visited with my brother for the first time. We were greeted at the door with a big smile and offered a choice of seating. The menu is available using the QR code placed at the corner of the table, so bear that in mind if you find that you haven't been offered the menu as you are seated and nor is it displayed on the walls! We decided on our food and the waiter took our order and passed it to the kitchen. The atmosphere was amazing. The decor, tables, chairs and vicinity was clean and comfortable. There was a steady buzz of people. Music wasn't so loud that you couldn't hear the person sat infront of you. It felt to me like was sat in Damascus! The food arrived relatively quickly. We had the cold mezze platter, the lamb cubes, the lamb fakharra and mini kunafa desserts. Everything was tasting fresh and full of flavour. I felt like the fakharra could have been a touch hotter with it being sealed in a clay pot. I also felt the same with the kunafa desserts. Nevertheless, the food tasted amazing. There are two big steps at the front door so might be a struggle for wheelchairs or pushchairs. I would definitely come again and try other items on their menu. Thank you for the great service and food. Alhamdulillah.
Excellent food. There were plenty of vegetarian options, and the staff were able to advise my Mum on which dishes were gluten-free, so she was catered for. It didn't seem very promising at first, given the location, and there was only one other table in their on a Saturday lunchtime. However, the food was excellent, and the staff were friendly once we sat down to eat. The hot and cold mezze selections meant we got to try a great range of dishes and were all really tasty. The mango lassi and mint and lemon drinks were both very refreshing. It's worth knowing you can only pay in cash, although there is a cash machine on the premises.
I’ve been here a few times with my family now and every time the food has been absolutely amazing!! They deserve all the recognition. I have been recommending this place to everyone I know.
The shawarma and adana kebab tasted so delicious I would have it again. The lemon and mint juice was so refreshing and perfect in the hot weather. They also do really nice baklava, the best baklava I have ever had not overly sweet just right.
Food was amazing, staff was amazing people definitely need to come here. It's fresh, lovely, tastes good, environment is amazing too. Parking a bit difficult but manageable. Tea was amazing too! Get the jug always it gives you about 4.5 cups of tea worth.
